Your party will have their own chartered boat from either Bay Lake or the World Showcase Lagoon for up to 10 people. Magic Kingdom fireworks are bigger and more dramatic while EPCOT fireworks are more intimate and you get to watch so close to World Showcase. Climb aboard one of Disney’s most iconic ferryboats for an unforgettable evening on the Seven Seas Lagoon. Guests may park at the Magic Kingdom parking lot to access the Transportation and Ticket Center.
Specialty Firework Cruises Are Back at Walt Disney World Resort! - Inside the Magic
They do their best with it, but it’s still a chill party on floating Disney transportation. 😂 It’s still quite fun but not as much ambiance as, say, a dedicated viewing area on land could be. With a Disney fireworks cruise, you and your friends can rent a private pontoon boat to sail around Disney waters and watch fireworks. You have two choices of fireworks with Disney specialty cruises – Magic Kingdom fireworks or EPCOT fireworks. Your experience will include a captain, assorted snacks and soft drinks.
Snacks Included
After greeting you they open up the dessert and snacks buffet filled for hungry pirates. Cotton Candy, ice cream, cake, drinks, small snacks like pretzels and chips, and of course a whole treasure chest filled with gold doubloons, chocolate in currency. As we cruised through the lake, we came to a stop near the shores of the Polynesian Resort. This pit-stop was in order for us to be able to experience the Electrical Water Pageant. I don’t know where the time went, but it flashed past so quickly. However, before we made our way back to the Contemporary Resort, we were treated to watching the Electrical Water pageant.

Like other Magic Kingdom Dessert Parties, the Ferrytale Fireworks dessert cruise allows you to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks while dining on a range of desserts and beverages (both non-alcoholic and alcoholic). Watching from the water was unlike any way I have ever viewed the fireworks before. It was absolutely breathtaking to watch the glittering fireworks rain down over the castle, with the lagoon lighting up with the reflection of colors. The 25 foot boat seats up to ten guests, and costs around $449 plus tax.
How is the view from Seven Seas Lagoon?
But we’re hoping it was just a technical difficulty on that first cruise. It was also a bit tough to get a good spot to see the fireworks (thankfully, someone was kind enough to share their spot with us). But if you prefer to sit or have tykes with you, you’ll need to stake out a spot well in advance to ensure you have a good view, and in the end, you might find yourself sharing elbow room with your neighbor. When you’re paying $100 bucks a person, you kind of expect you’ll get a great view of the show, but that wasn’t a guarantee here like it practically is at most other firework parties we’ve attended.
Keep reading for a summary of each of the Disney fireworks cruises. And you can jump over to our guide to Fireworks Outside the Disney Parks if you'd rather keep your feet on solid ground. When you arrive at the resort you’ll head to the marina where you’ll meet up with your boat driver. The boat is pristinely clean and waiting complete with soda, water, and a few light snacks. On nights when the Electrical Water Pageant‘s schedule overlaps with the Ferrytale Fireworks Cruise, as long as the waters are safe, you’ll be positioned in a great spot to watch it before the fireworks begin.

If you plan to take a taxi or Uber/Lyft to Magic Kingdom, this is the official drop-off spot for that, as well as being the place where some of the offsite buses drop off guests for Magic Kingdom. Of course, you’d have to have a park ticket to book one of the parties inside Magic Kingdom, but you’d also get a much, much better view of the fireworks. On land, even watching from a resort shore, is crowded and loud.
When you arrive at the marina, you’ll first meet your captain for the evening, review the rules, get the kids fitted for life jackets, and then you’ll board the boat. These pontoon boats are very spacious and feature plush, comfortable seating. Note that these are the only food and beverage options included with the cruise, but you’re also allowed to bring your own food and drinks (alcohol is allowed) if you’d like to. A few times a week, you can set sail to enjoy delicious desserts at the same time as watching the fireworks from Seven Seas Lagoon. Your check in will be at the Ticket and Transportation centre.
During the show, you are welcome to move around if you need to. Our cruise was only partially full so there was plenty of room upstairs for everyone to watch the show. Let our friends at Destinations to Travel help you book your next Disney Vacation. They are the preferred Travel Agency of Chip and Company and Disney Addicts, and who we use ourselves. Of course, pictures rarely capture the extent of the beauty of fireworks, but its definitely true here- the pictures don’t do it justice. The audio from the show, which is usually played through speakers on the ferry, was a little bit hard to hear on the boat.

However, this seemed like a temporary issue that resolved as the show went on. You can stop by the customization station and add Popping Candy, Chocolate Rocks, and Chocolate Cookie Crumbles Mixed with Honeycomb! This experience was available on the lower level of the boat. If you’ve had a cream puff before, then you get the general principle behind this dessert.
So whether you’re sipping one of our signature drinks, nibbling on a tasty sweet or discovering blacklight clues, you’re a part of the magnetic magic that makes this cruise so special and unique. But, unlike the parties that happen inside the park, this one takes place on a ferryboat that sails on the Seven Seas Lagoon just outside the entrance of Magic Kingdom. While it sounds enchanting, it doesn’t quite capture the grandeur you’d experience land-side. Reflections on the lagoon and distant firework sounds are a different experience, and not necessarily the magical one you might expect. Upon arrival you are assigned to be on the Smee boat or the Hook boat.
Before leaving you will line up in two groups according to your assigned boat. One lucky pre-selected pirate for each boat will be assigned an important pirate job official boat flag holder for the evening! They will lead the way with Patch and Hook, or Patch and Smee, out to the docks. Harmonious cruises depart from Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort. You then travel to the International Gateway near World Showcase Lagoon to watch the amazing nighttime show.
And all guests will receive “Mickey Vision” glasses to transform their view of the fireworks. You’ll be able to see all the fireworks from this vantage point. Before we dive in, it’s important to note that if you or anyone in your party has any dietary restrictions, you should indicate so when booking online.
